The Concert Band (6th Hour) and Wind Ensemble (7th Hour) at Rockwood Summit High School are two exceptional music groups that offer students the opportunity to showcase their musical talents. The Concert Band is an ensemble that is open to students who play a band instrument and have completed middle school band classes or the equivalent. The Concert Band has a strong reputation for excellence and regularly receives high marks at music festivals and competitions. The Concert Band is led by Mr. Danny Pace with assistance from Mr. Jeremy Loui and Mr. Peter Repp.

The Wind Ensemble is an advanced-level ensemble that is comprised of experienced musicians at Rockwood Summit High School places in the ensemble through audition and director recommendation. This group performs challenging and complex band repertoire. The Wind Ensemble has won numerous awards and accolades at competitions and festivals, cementing its reputation as one of the top high school wind ensembles in the region.
